A Printmaking Exhibition
Elation is a solo exhibition featuring relief prints by Kirsten Groff. The opening reception will take place on Friday, May 25th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The exhibition will be held at 204 W. Victory Dr., Unit B, Savannah, GA. This event is free and open to the public.
The Elation series of woodcuts consists of portraits capturing Groff’s close friend in specific moments. The process of carving wood is as intimate as the portraits themselves. In this body of work Groff attempts to visually manifest a genuine feeling through the use of black and white portraits.
Kirsten Groff (b. 1996, New York) will be receiving a B.F.A in Painting with minors in Art History and Printmaking from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, Georgia in the spring of 2018.
