Participants are asked to submit works that explore the concepts movement: this can be expressed through themes of travel, migration, vacation, dance, music, or through formal visualizations of movement and rhythm. Artists are encouraged to take varied approaches to the exhibition’s theme and reflect on topics and ideas broadly. Artists working in a variety of media and disciplines are welcomed to submit, including, but not limited to painting, photography, sculpture, fibers, video, animation, drawing and printmaking.
The submission deadline is midnight on Friday April 28, but the SCAD Exhibitions jury may view submissions as they come in and some artists may receive early notification of acceptance.
All accepted works must be delivered ready to hang/install. Works on paper (including drawings, photo and printmaking) must be framed. All framing should look professional. “Glass with clips” and plastic craft store frames are not acceptable. SCAD Exhibitions reserves the right to reject work from the exhibit for poor presentation and quality issues.
Accepted works may also be included on the SCAD Art Sales website (scadartsales.com) for the duration of the exhibition at the discretion of SCAD Art Sales staff.
All work must be for sale. Please limit submissions to 5 works by a single artist and in the case of multiple entries, SCAD Exhibitions encourages a concise body of work. Artwork in all mediums will be considered.
For questions and comments about the online submission process, please email Hillary Eustis at email@example.com with “Summer Sales” in the subject line.
