Oglethorpe Gallery is pleased to announce ‘Red Earth’, a solo exhibition by Bethani Wells taking place Friday April 29th ,2016 from 6-9 pm. The exhibition is comprised of large-scale paintings made with natural materials found on location from her travels abroad. Through this body of work Wells has explored movement and the relationship between earth and spirituality. This event is free and open to the public.
Bethani Wells (b. 1995, United States) is receiving a BFA in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA in the spring of 2017. Wells is an abstract artist making work that explores the relationship between ecology and spirituality using natural materials found on location that she has collected on her travels abroad. She has exhibited her work in group exhibitions in Savannah, Georgia as well as internationally in the Dominican Republic. Currently, Bethani lives and works in Savannah, Georgia and will be studying overseas in Lacoste, France in the fall of 2016.
